The CLS is a breathtakingly beautiful coupe-like car that at the same time boasts the comfort and convenience of four doors. The CLS500 comes with a 302-hp 5.0-liter V8, and the CLS55 AMG is powered by a supercharged 5.5-liter V8 that makes 469 horsepower and 516 lb.-ft of torque for eye-popping 0-to-60 mph acceleration times of 4.5 seconds.
While the 302-horsepower CLS500 provides sparkling performance, the formidable CLS55 AMG adds nearly 170 horsepower through sophisticated supercharger technology that’s similar to the E55 AMG and SL55 AMG. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a five-speed AMG Speedshift automatic transmission that can be manually shifted from a either a conventional lever or Formula-1 style gearshift buttons on the ergonomic AMG sports steering wheel.
