The 67th Annual Geneva Car Show - 1997
by Paul Negyesi
Daewoo
The first independent Daewoo car is the Lanos. It's currently touring
Korea, so a prototype version of the cabriolet was shipped.
Another styling excersize was the Shiraz, an Opel Omega-sized luxury model.
Hyundai
For sportscar fans Rinspeed tweaked
the Coupé.
Hyundai still relies on Mitsubishi. It was obvious after the launch of the
H-1 MPV. It's based on the big brother of the Mitsubishi Space Gear.
Kia The slightly altered Mazdas are their products. The 626 based Clarus, which is prettier than the Mazda was the centerpiece.
SsangYong
They cleared up their activities and decided to not toying with the idea of
silly supersportscars, they're focussing on off-roaders:
Korando
The totally redesigned Korando with giant bull-bars made its
Continental Europe debut.
