The 67th Annual Geneva Car Show - 1997

by Paul Negyesi

Opel

Here's the revamped Corsa with an ultra-efficient 1.0-liter three cylinder engine. This powerplant first appeared in the MAXX prototype. The 973 cc four-valve engine produces maximum power of 40 kW (55 bhp) at 5600 rpm and maximum torque of 82 Nm at only 2800 rpm. The fuel consumption has been improved: it requires only 5.8 l/100 km in urban traffic.

The Signum gives away the styling cues to the next generation Opel Astra. It's size is similar to the Omage Caravan and it's based on the Omega as well.
