The Auto Channel's Car-of-the-Week

Auto Central - January 11, 2001 - Finally paying Tribute to the ever-expanding SUV market, Mazda brings us an American styled, mid-sized Ute for model year 2001. From the company that revived the roadster market with their zippy Miata, Mazdas Tribute brings inexpensive sportiness to the SUV arena.

Medium in build, the Tribute is the first joint design project from Ford and Mazda. Based on a car platform, the Mazda Tribute promotes the "sport" into Sport Utility Vehicle. Two peppy engine choices, independent suspension, and a unit-construction chassis help bring the "Zoom, Zoom" into the reasonably priced Tribute.

TACH has everything you want to know about this new sporty SUV: Multiple reviews, streaming video footage, official press introduction, historical background, and total statistical comparison data. It's all FREE and easily accessible.
