![]() Here's a car for both sides of the brain. The 2002 Volkswagen GTI 1.8T. The left side will like dual front and side airbags, the side curtain airbag, the antilock brakes employing electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD) and traction control. The GTI also includes VW's improved four-year/50,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty, a fully transferable limited powertrain warranty that covers five years or 60,000 miles. Two-year, 24-hour roadside assistance is also provided. And get this: all scheduled maintenance is provided at no charge for two years or 24,000 miles! Two-year, 24-hour roadside assistance is also provided. ![]() The right side will be aroused by a leather package (seats, steering wheel, shift boot and knob), a power glass sunroof and premium stereo, 17-inch alloy wheels and a cold weather package (heated windshield washer nozzles and heated seats). We really enjoyed the ride: the turbo responds quickly throughout the power range and we applaud the front MacPherson struts and a rear independent torsion-beam axle. It's a quick and quiet ride in a practical cargo-hauling hatchback design. - Editor |
