With only one model available with one trim level, the MSRP runs approximately $23,000 and is packed with standard equipment. In fact, only six exterior colors are available, three interior options, and three dealer-installed accessories are available. The 2000 MR2's long wheelbase, light weight (2200-lbs) and peppy 1.8-liter engine provides more power, and thus, better handling than its predecessor.
