The Cars
Two Stroke
Berkeley Four Wheelers

The four wheelers
were first produced in 1956 with a 322cc
air cooled two stroke two cylinder Anzani
Engine. After a short while the
engine was changed for the 328cc
Excelsior air cooled two stroke twin
cylinder motorcycle engine with an output
of 18 BHP.
All the cars have electric start and
reverse gear.
The cars were quite innovative in having
a front transverse engine with front
wheel drive, all independent suspension
and a Monocoque fibreglass body.
Later on in the production run a Sports
492 was produced. This car had a
three cylinder version of the 328cc twin,
this gave it 492cc and using three
carburettors 30 BHP.
