DRAG RACING HIGHLIGHTS:
1974--Bought his first race car, a Chevrolet gas dragster.
1976 Raced an Art Morrison-built rear engine dragster, winning 15 of 17 races in the pro bracket. Moved into Competition Eliminator
1977 Runner-up to Jogn Lingenfelter in NHRA Winternationals Comp. Eliminator, 1st national championship race. Set 1st of his 21 national E.T. & speed records in streak that lasted til 1983.
1980--Won NHRA Comp Eliminator title in Division 6
1981--Won Seattle International Raceway pro bracket title.
1982--Repeated at Seattle.
1983--AHRA World & Northwest champ, Comp Eliminator. Runner-up, Super Gas, NHRA World Finals. Repeated again at Seattle.
1985--Scored 1st NHRA national win, Super Gas, Mile-High Nationals. Won largest TRW purse, $7,000, for clocking perfect 9.90 sec. E.T. Counting subsequent wins ($4,000 & $1,000 in '89), has wan the most TRW bonus money of any driver, $12,000. Was NHRA Super Gas world champ & NHRA Super Gas Division 6 champion.
1986--NHRA Div. 6 Super Gas champ, 6th in world points.
1987--NHRA World Finals champ in Super Comp.
1988--Won AHRA Super Gas world title.
1989--Runner-up, Super Gas, NHRA Div. 6. Won NHRA Mile High Nationals. No. 2 in World standings.
1990--Super Gas champ, NHRA Div. 6 Runner-up, Super Gas, Winston Finals at Pomona
1991--Switching to Super comp with new Pontiac Grand Prix, won NHRA NorthStar Nations at Brainerd, Minn.
1992--Won NHRA Autolite Nationals at Sears Point plus divisional meets at Yakima & Sears Point en route to winning NHRA Div. 6 title & No. 2 world ranking.
1993--Reached finals of NHRA Autolite National at Sears Point & finals of NHRA divisional championship at Phoenix.
1994--Reached finals of NHRA Mile-High Nationals at Denver & NHRA divisional race at Phoenix. Reached semi-finals of NHRA Nationals at Houston.
1995--Competing part of the season in super comp but most of the year in super gas, he reached the finals at Mission Dragway, B. C., before "breaking out" and won the TRW Belt Buckle for hitting the 8.90 -second index speed on two of his previous five runs. Also reached semi-finals at Ashcroft, B.C., and quarter-finals at NHRA Autolite and Northwest Nationals.
1996--First driver ever to win NHRA Division 6 championships in Super Comp & Super Gas. Won Super Gas title in NHRA Nationals at Brainerd, Minn. Won both classes at Douglas, Wyo, divisional. Won Super Gas title at Mission, B.C., divisional. Reached Super Comp finals in NHRA Nationals at Topeka, Denver & Seattle. Reached Super Comp semi- finals in NHRA divisional at Yakima. Reached Super Gas semi-finals in NHRA divisional at Seattle. Reached Super Comp quarter-finals in NHRA Divisional at Boise and Seattle. Reached super Gas quarter-finals in NHRA Nationals at Seattle.

NON-RACING BACKGROUND:
Graduate of Franklin Pierce High, Tacoma, Wash., earned letters playing tight end in football & 2nd base for baseball team Attended Green River Community College, Auburn, Wash. Operated a contracting business, doing pre-finishing work for builders of fine homes; he sold the business in 1994 to concentrate on drag racing.
