Welcome to the "World Center of Racing"
This is the The Autochannel
guide to Daytona International Speedway. Here you will find out about upcoming
events, how to get tickets, where to stay and much more. There is also a Speedway map which shows all of the track facilities and
some of the surrounding area.
The Speedway annually presents at least eight separate racing weekends including
stock cars, sports cars, motorcycles and go-karts. Its program, which includes
months of testing, is more varied than any other racing facility in the world,
thus, the Speedway is known as the "World Center of Racing."
The track includes a 2.5 mile trioval used by stock cars and a 3.56 mile road
course used by the sports cars, motorcycles and go-karts. The road course
includes about a mile of track in the infield and most of the trioval. The east
and west turns of the trioval are banked 31 degrees and the start/finish line is
banked 18 degrees.
