Johnson Controls Earns Top Automotive Supplier Ranking on FORTUNE Most Admired Companies ListMILWAUKEE, March 8 Johnson Controls, Inc. was ranked at the top of FORTUNE magazine's America's Most Admired Companies list of automotive suppliers for 2000. Clark, Martire & Bartolomeo (CM&B), a leading research firm, polled 10,000 executives, directors and financial analysts, asking them to rank companies in their own industries. Johnson Controls was the most admired company in the "Motor Vehicles & Parts" category. Companies were rated in the following areas: management quality, product quality, innovativeness, investment value, financial soundness, talent, social responsibility and use of assets. FORTUNE's list of America's Most Admired Companies included rankings of 61 industries, with 10 companies in each category. The winners were selected from the 1,000 largest U.S. companies (ranked by revenues) and the 25 largest U.S. subsidiaries of foreign-owned companies.
