V-Twin's Retailers Now Using E-Commerce for Purchases, CycleClick.com will be Marketplace for Inventory and Services Procurement
WASHINGTON, Jan. 18 V-Twin Holdings, Inc.
(OTC Bulletin Board: VTWN) today announced that its retail stores have begun
procuring inventory and dealer services through CycleClick.com, the Company's
electronic marketplace for the motorcycle and powersports industry.
CycleClick is powered by PurchasePro, Inc. .
V-Twin's six company-owned stores are conducting transactions through
CycleClick.com to combine their purchasing power, to eliminate the excessive
paperwork of hand-processed orders and to have one, single easy-to-use
ordering system. In several weeks these stores will be making nearly 100% of
their purchases of parts, accessories and supplies through CycleClick.
CycleClick will soon be available to the entire network of V-Twin stores,
including over a dozen Bikers Dream licensees. V-Twin anticipates opening
CycleClick to the thousands of independent motorcycle and powersports
retailers, distributors, manufacturers and service providers across the
country within the next few months.
Roger Cheek, Chief Executive Officer of V-Twin, said, "Motorcycle
retailers are a demanding group that are becoming more aware of their
technology needs. Therefore, before we launch CycleClick to the rest of the
industry we are putting our money where our mouth is. Our own stores are
starting to enjoy the ease and simplicity of CycleClick's ordering system, and
can choose from over 100,000 SKUs to stock their shelves.
"The powersports suppliers that sell through CycleClick are especially
excited about new sales opportunities and less complicated record keeping.
CycleClick's open architecture allows it to be easily integrated with
suppliers' catalogs and ERP systems."
CycleClick differs from other electronic ordering systems because no
proprietary software is required and it is available over the Internet using
any browser. CycleClick is powered by PurchasePro, which has successfully
created similar electronic marketplaces for many other industries.
