Winnebago Industries Announces the Election of Directors

    FOREST CITY, Iowa--Jan. 17, 2001--Winnebago Industries, Inc. today announced the election of nominees for the board of directors at the Company's annual stockholders' meeting held last night.
    Elected to Winnebago Industries' board for a three-year term were current board member, Richard C. Scott, and new board member, Joseph W. England. England replaces Fred G. Dohrmann, former Chairman and CEO of the Company, who is retiring from the board.
    Scott, 66, has served on Winnebago Industries' board since 1997. He is currently Vice President of University Development at Baylor University, Waco, Texas.
    England, 60, is recently retired from Deere & Company, a Fortune 500 manufacturer of mobile power equipment in Moline, Illinois. He was employed by Deere & Company since 1962 in a variety of management, auditing and accounting positions, last serving as Senior Vice President, Worldwide Parts and Corporate Administration. England graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and is also a Certified Public Accountant.
