WPVI-TV Gears Up for the 2001 Philadelphia Auto Show; A Live Special to Air February 3rd at 7 PMPHILADELPHIA, Jan. 17 Buckle your seatbelts. The sleekest, newest, coolest cars are coming to Philadelphia, and Delaware Valley viewers can get a sneak peek when 6ABC Presents "Philly on Wheels: The 2001 Philadelphia International Auto Show Preview," live Saturday, February 3rd at 7 pm. This hour-long special, hosted by Channel 6's Wally Kennedy and Karen Rogers, will preview the latest models, the hot concept cars, and the 2001 vehicles that are already making headlines. The show will also take a look at vintage cars, as the Philadelphia International Auto Show celebrates its 100th anniversary, and personalized plates through the eyes of Action News humorist Don Polec. "The Philadelphia Auto Show is a fun family event," said WPVI-TV President and General Manager Dave Davis. "We are pleased once again to be able to bring it into the homes of our Delaware Valley viewers." Produced by the Automobile Dealers Association of Greater Philadelphia, The 2001 Philadelphia International Auto Show features more than 700 cars from more than 35 manufacturers. The show runs at the Philadelphia Convention Center from Saturday, February 3rd to Sunday, February 11th. This broadcast is the first up for 2001 in Channel 6's unmatched lineup of annual local events. Among its many live, local specials, Channel 6 also covers the Philadelphia Flower Show, the First Union Bike Race, the Welcome America 4th of July Parade and the 6ABC/Boscov's Thanksgiving Day Parade, the largest and most prestigious events in the Delaware Valley.
