Environmental Solutions Worldwide Seeks ISO 9001 Accreditation
MARKHAM, Ontario--Jan. 17, 2001--Environmental Solutions Worldwide Inc. (ESW) (OTCBB:ESWW), a company that develops, manufactures and markets environmental technologies, today announced it is well into its second month toward becoming accredited through the ISO 9001 certification program. Perry Johnson, Inc. (PJI) has been commissioned to take ESW through the complete process, which will conclude with full compliance by March 28, 2001.
Linda Smith, ESW's Controller, is managing the project. Ms. Smith has been fully trained by PJI and has accumulated six years of continuous experience in ISO implementation.
The ISO standards, developed by the International Organization for Standardization, provide an international benchmark for quality systems and a foundation for continuous improvement. By obtaining its ISO 9001 registration, ESW will clearly demonstrate that its first-class systems are models for quality assurance in design, development, manufacturing and testing.
The ISO is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies from approximately 150 countries. ISO is a non-governmental organization, which was established in 1947. The mission of ISO is to promote the development of standardization and related activities in the world with a view to facilitating the international exchange of goods and services. Additionally, ISO strives to develop cooperation in the spheres of intellectual, scientific, technological and economic activity.
