Hayes Lemmerz International Names Gary J. Findling as Corporate Treasurer
    NORTHVILLE, Mich., Jan. 15 Hayes Lemmerz International,
Inc. , one of the world's leading suppliers of wheels, brakes,
suspension, structural and other lightweight components to the automotive and
commercial highway markets, announced the appointment of Gary J. Findling to
the position of Treasurer, reporting to William Shovers, Vice President-
Finance and Chief Financial Officer.  In this position, Findling will be
responsible for debt financing, securitization, leasing, foreign currency
management, cash management and global banking relations.
    Findling comes to Hayes Lemmerz with a broad range of financial management
experience.  He most recently served as Vice President and Treasurer of Grove
Worldwide in Shady Grove, Pennsylvania.  Prior to his tenure at Grove
Worldwide, Findling held various financial management positions at Aeroquip-
Vickers, Inc., Midland-Ross Corp. and Arthur Andersen and Co.
    Findling holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from
Ohio University and a Master of Business Administration in Finance and
Marketing from J.L. Kellogg, Northwestern University.  Findling is a Certified
Public Accountant and Certified Cash Manager.
    Findling has been active in the Junior Achievement organization throughout
his career and is past Chairman of the Board for Junior Achievement of
Northwestern Ohio.
