SDRC Names Ralph Genesi as Vice President, Industry and Channel Sales; New Appointment Focuses on Further Strengthening SDRC's Global Industry and Channel Operations

    CINCINNATI--Jan. 15, 2001--SDRC today announced the appointment of Ralph L. Genesi as vice president in charge of industry and channel sales, worldwide operations. Genesi reports to Bill Gascoigne, executive vice president, worldwide operations.
    Genesi comes to SDRC from Spectris Technologies, Inc., where he most recently was responsible for the Americas' channel distribution operations, accountable for approximately $75 million in sales revenue of products, systems, repair and calibration services.
    "Ralph brings over 20 years of experience in sales execution to our team," said Bill Gascoigne, executive vice president, Worldwide Operations, SDRC. "His expertise in channel reengineering and solution partnering will prove extremely valuable to SDRC's overall sales models. Today, SDRC has approximately 150 global channel partners who are selling and supporting our products, bringing valued-added services to the company, and the channel represents over 35% of our mechanical design automation revenues. We will continue to invest in, grow, and invigorate our channel and industry-specific sales operations, and Ralph's expertise in these areas will be strategic to our continued success."
    Genesi is a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. He also has completed several modules in Harvard's Business School Executive Program.
