Westcorp to Webcast Analyst Conference Call On Fourth Quarter and Year-End Earnings Results

    IRVINE, Calif.--Jan. 12, 2001--Westcorp will release its fourth quarter and year-end earnings results on Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2001 after the NYSE stock exchange closes.
    Joy Schaefer, president, and Lee A. Whatcott, executive vice president and chief financial officer, will host a Webcast conference call for analysts and investors at 8 a.m. (PDT) on Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2001.
    As part of this conference call, Westcorp management will discuss, at greater length, earnings results for the fourth quarter and for all of 2000 as well as management's outlook for 2001.
