On Wheels, Inc. 5th Annual Urban Wheel Award Winners Recognized for Diversity Efforts in the Auto Industry

    DETROIT, Jan. 12 On Wheels, Inc. is a multi-media
automotive communications company dedicated to serving the needs and interest
of the African-American market segment.  On Wheels, Inc. is the parent company
of African Americans On Wheels magazine, a targeted publication reporting on
vehicles, the companies that make them, motorsports, car care and travel from
an African American perspective.
    The 5th Annual Urban Wheel Awards program recognizes companies and
individuals for their diversity efforts in the automotive industry.  The
following individuals and companies were presented with the 2001 Urban Wheel
Awards, at the event held on Thursday, January 11, 2001 at the Museum of
African American History, for their respective categories:

    Company of the Year:    General Motors Corporation

    Executive of the Year:  Elliot Hall, vice president, Dealer Development,
                             Ford Motor Company

    Woman of the Year:      Debra Nelson, senior manager, Group Marketing
                             Diversity and Regional Communications
                             DaimlerChrysler

    Minority Supplier
     of the Year:           Global Automotive Alliance

    Vehicle of the Year:    Chrysler PT Cruiser
