    SACRAMENTO, Calif., Jan. 9 GenCorp announced
that its analyst conference call for fourth quarter/full year 2000 earnings
will be broadcast live on the Internet and will be accessible to the public
from the Company's Web site (http://www.gencorp.com) at 11 a.m. (PST) on
January 17, 2001.  The Company will release earnings after the close of
markets on January 16, 2001.

    The broadcast is anticipated to be about one hour in length.  Participants
will be in a listen mode only and must have RealPlayer software loaded onto
their computers for access.  The conference call audio broadcast will not be
archived, but will be available for replay through January 19.
