Delphi's Radar-based System Provides up to Four Times More Distance Warning
                        Versus Ultrasonic Parking Aids

DETROIT, Jan. 9 Delphi Automotive Systems'
Forewarn(R) brand Radar Back-Up Aid system was showcased on Cadillac's Vizon
concept car celebrating its worldwide debut at the North American
International Auto Show in Detroit. With Vizon, Cadillac is applying to an
all-wheel-drive luxury activity vehicle the new design forum vocabulary it
first showed in the 1999 Evoq luxury roadster concept vehicle.

Delphi's Forewarn Radar Back-Up Aid uses two radar sensors to provide a
rear detection range of six meters -- which is three to four times greater
than the range of traditional ultrasonic parking aids. Distance and speed are
used to provide drivers with an audible and/or visual alert, with an
increasing frequency the closer the vehicle gets to an object.
"The great benefit of Delphi's Radar Back-Up Aid system is that it will
provide drivers even more distance to react when an object is in the detection
zone," said Jeff Owens, general director, Business Lines, Marketing and
Portfolio for Delphi Delco Electronics Systems.
Other enhancements and benefits of Delphi's system include:

    * Microwave radar aids in both short- and long-range object detection
    * Automatically activates when vehicle is put in reverse
    * Detects both stationary and moving objects
    *  Provides speed-based warning
    * Helps to provide increased reaction time
    * Reduces risk of bumper damage
    * Excellent performance in adverse weather conditions
    * The sensors are mounted behind the rear fascia -- which allows for
        sleek styling.

"Delphi's radar-based system far surpasses the 1.8-meter range of the
ultrasonic parking aid," said Owens. "Drivers want to be able to detect
objects behind their vehicles when backing up and Delphi's system provides
increased reaction time and earlier warning signals."
Delphi has coupled its depth of experience in key collision warning
technologies with consumer research data to bring drivers the Forewarn Radar
Back-Up Aid, one of a growing portfolio of Forewarn Collision Warning Systems.
