Gaston Electronics Joins The Sparton Alliance Network Providing Electronic Manufacturing Services
JACKSON, Mich. and MT. HOLLY, N.C.--Jan. 8, 2001--Electronic Design and Manufacturing Service (EMS) provider, Sparton Corporation , has formed an alliance with Gaston Electronics, an EMS company located in Mt. Holly, North Carolina.The addition of Gaston to the Sparton Alliance network provides design and manufacturing capabilities in the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States. Gaston's capabilities will be the seventh addition to the Sparton Alliance Network.
Gaston is the electronics division of a major textile equipment manufacturer. Since 1949, Gaston has been designing and producing electro-mechanical and electronic assemblies. Gaston provides contract manufacturing and complete turn-key assembly services to a large number of manufacturers serving a variety of markets. Continually adding new, state-of-the-art equipment and techniques such as Surface Mount Technology (SMT), automated insertion and specialty coatings has kept Gaston Electronics at the forward limits of production capability, with demonstrated ability to deliver on-time and defect free. Gaston specializes in large and small electromechanical assemblies produced in quantities from one-of-a-kind to daily high volumes and slide line assembly of simple electronic components not suitable for automatic insertion complement automated assembly operations.
Sparton Corporation now in its 101st year, provides high mix, low to medium volume electronics contract manufacturing services utilizing six manufacturing locations encompassing over 700,000-sq. ft. along with ten alliance partner facilities throughout North America and Europe.
