Nitronics Encourages Nitrogen Tire Inflation for Car/Truck Owners

LAFAYETTE, Colo.--Jan. 8, 2001--Nitronics Systems of Lafayette, Colorado encourages the motoring public to insist on nitrogen tire inflation for their tires for better mileage and improved road safety.
Tire manufacturers are now informing car and truck owners that "tires age". "We have been saying for years that nitrogen tire inflation slows that process by removing the oxygen from the inflating medium. Tires stay "younger and stronger" longer", states Nitronics President Nick Verini.
"Tires inflated with the usual wet air lose durability, strength and are more likely to fail on the road". Nitrogen also keeps tires inflated longer. There is some evidence that tires that fail on the road have had a history of under-inflation."
"Ask your car dealer, tire store, quick lube or auto repair store to offer nitrogen tire inflation next time you visit them and they will make that available to you, but only if you ask. This equipment is available from us at reasonable cost" states Mr. Verini.
With the number of recalls and/or investigations involving tire road failures now underway, Nitronics believes it is time for the motoring public to take action.
"The motoring public must ask for this service to have any hope of receiving it. These stores will not invest in the equipment unless there is a demand for it. Next time you have your tires serviced, demand nitrogen" says John Anderson, Operations Manager.
"There has been some discussion about "smart tires" equipped with sophisticated on-board tire pressure monitoring systems and we believe that our TireLast nitrogen tire inflation system will complement what those systems are trying to accomplish, that is, keep tires properly inflated" states Nick Verini.
