Autofusion Corporation Announces Agreement With NADA Select-A-Car to be NADA Appraisal Guides' Online Configurator
SAN DIEGO--Jan. 8, 2001--Autofusion Corporation (www.autofusion.com), a leading provider of auto-related e-commerce technology, today announced an agreement to license its products and services to NADA Appraisal Guides (www.nadaguides.com), the world's largest publisher of appraisal guides for new- and used-vehicle values.Select-A-Car, Autofusion and partner Selectica(TM) Inc.'s jointly developed automotive Internet Selling System, will utilize NADA's new-vehicle data in an online configurator for NADA Appraisal Guides. NADA's new-vehicle data will also be available to Autofusion for other applications, the companies said.
The custom NADA Appraisal Guides version of Select-A-Car will be marketed to NADA's 19,300 franchised dealers, as well as the entire automotive industry, under terms of the agreement.
Select-A-Car is a customizable, hosted, state-of-the-art automotive content and commerce application that drives e-business. Select-A-Car offers Web site users comprehensive car-purchasing functionality, including needs analysis, research, model comparison, automobile configuration, vehicle pricing, the ability to print, save and retrieve car configurations, as well as transferring saved configurations to other third party systems like dealer locators, lead tracking systems, or financial calculators. Data for Select-A-Car is supplied by leading industry information providers.

NADA Appraisal Guides' used-car data will be made available to Autofusion and Selectica, and the companies will collaborate on a used-car configurator under additional terms of the agreement.

NADA Appraisal Guides also supplies data for other vertical markets, including classic automobiles, boats/marine, motorcycles, RVs, snowmobiles, manufactured homes and airplanes. This data will be available to Autofusion and Selectica for future configuration products.
This deal follows several others that Autofusion has made with new clients, including J.D. Powers Carclub, DealTime, Group 1 Automotive, Well's Auto Group and Digital Insight.
