Pickups Plus Continue Expansion With New Location in Lexington, Kentucky

    MASON, Ohio--Jan. 8, 2001--Pickups Plus, Inc. (OTCBB:PUPS), a leading retailer and franchiser in the $30 billion truck and SUV aftermarket accessories industry, announced today that it has approved a franchise for the Lexington, Kentucky area.
    "This will be our second store in Kentucky which has already proven to be a strong market," says John Fitzgerald, President of Pickups Plus. "We are very excited about this new franchise which will further strengthen our presence in the Midwest as we plan for our aggressive nationwide expansion."
    The new 4,000 sq. foot store will be located at 4013 Nicholasville Road and will dedicate 2,100 sq. feet for retail space and 1,900 sq. feet for the two installation bays and storage. "This new Pickups Plus store will be nestled in the busiest retail area of Lexington, near the Fayette Mall," adds Brian Glover, Vice President of Franchising and Operations.
    Year to date, trucks have represented 52.6% of total North American passenger automotive production. In addition, three out of the five top selling vehicles in the U.S. are trucks or SUVs as well.
