Toyota Promotes North American Manufacturing ExecsERLANGER, Ky., Jan. 5 Toyota Motor Manufacturing North America, Inc. (TMMNA) recently announced the promotions of several top executives in the automaker's manufacturing operations. Among these, Dennis Cuneo was promoted to senior vice-president of corporate affairs at TMMNA; he also serves as senior vice-president of Toyota Motor America (TMA). Additionally, Sam Heltman will move to a new role as senior vice-president of TMMNA administration (Human Resources/Information Systems), with a dual cap as senior vice-president of Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Kentucky human resources, general affairs, and production control. These promotions are coupled with many other end-of-the-year organizational changes throughout the company. Don Jackson of Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Kentucky, Inc. (TMMK), located in Georgetown, Ky., was promoted to vice-president of manufacturing. Don will have responsibility for body weld, stamping, die manufacturing, and paint. TMMK manufactures the Camry, Avalon and Sienna minivan. The Princeton, Ind. facility, Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Indiana, Inc. (TMMI) is the home of the Tundra and the Sequoia, Toyota's new full-size SUV. TMMI promotions include Norm Bafunno to vice president of production and quality and Bill Krueger to general manager of production. The Long Beach, Calif. operations, TABC, Inc., which manufactures truck beds, catalytic converters, coated substrates, and steering columns, saw the promotions of: Dom Berardesco to vice-president, administration; Mike Haruki to general manager, administration division; and John Walsh to general manager, manufacturing division I. These organizational changes became effective on January 1, 2001.
