Extended Systems Licenses Bluetooth Technology to Visteon; Companies Provide Bluetooth Wireless Connectivity Solutions for the Automotive Industry
LAS VEGAS--Jan. 4, 2001--Extended Systems , a leading provider of mobile data management and wireless connectivity solutions, and Visteon Corporation , a full-service provider of consumer-driven technology solutions for automotive manufacturers, announced today that the companies have aligned to bring Bluetooth technology to the automotive industry.By licensing Extended Systems' XTNDAccess Blue SDK, multi-purpose software development kit for Bluetooth implementation in mobile devices, Visteon will be able to provide people travelling in automobiles with wireless, hands-free interaction with devices such as pagers, cell phones, and PDAs.

Both companies will showcase their advanced technology during the Consumer Electronics Show Jan. 6-9 in Las Vegas, Nev. Extended Systems will be exhibiting in the Bluetooth Pavilion at Booth No. 4377. Visteon will be demonstrating in the Bluetooth Pavilion at Booth No. 4377 and at Booth No. 15742 on the main floor.
