LAS VEGAS, Jan. 4 Visteon Corporation continues
its tradition of delivering innovative, multimedia products with its MACH(R)

Visteon's MACH(R) MP3 Music System combines compressed file playback
technology and efficient memory storage to create truly flexible audio,
capable of downloading data and integrating all sources of audio use for the
home and in the car.
"The MP3 player expands our current offering of consumer-focused
multimedia products," said David Peace, vice president of Visteon Global
Aftermarket Operations. "Because MP3 is quickly becoming a very popular music
format, Visteon has designed a system that allows drivers to enjoy the
benefits of the MP3 format while on the road."
While in the play mode, the system allows the selection of individual
songs as well as fast forward and shuffle modes. The unique "Fast Track"
feature enables a listener to quickly scan the 10 hours of music by pushing
the track button and toggling the volume control button.
The compact player comes equipped with an anti-shock feature and has a
total memory capacity of 650 megs allowing a driver to create his or her own
personalized CD with up to 10 hours of music. The system features a full disc
shuffle as opposed to systems that may only have a shuffle feature within each
folder.
The MP3 system, which can play regular music CDs, comes in five different
"skins" to provide consumers with a personalized, unique look.
The Visteon MACH(R) MP3 Music System will be available in March of 2001
for select Ford applications. The product can be purchased through new Ford
and Lincoln Mercury dealers or through http://www.eVisteon.com . For more
