Daewoo Finishes 2000 With 122% Sales Increase Over 1999COMPTON, Calif., Jan. 3 Daewoo's year end total sales of 68,360 units marked a 122% increase over 1999, the company's first year in business in America. With an outstanding line-up of value priced cars Daewoo owners have kept Daewoo 'The Fastest Growing Car Company in America.' D.J. Lee, President and CEO of Daewoo Motor America stated, "We have made great strides in our business in 2000 despite some adversity caused by Ford withdrawing from negotiations (in October) with our parent company and the announcement in November of Daewoo Korea's corporate restructuring.
