Isuzu Axiom: Newest SUV Makes First Public Appearance

    --

The 2002 Isuzu Axiom will be introduced at the Los Angeles Auto Show Jan. 4.
Closely based on Isuzu's ZXS concept vehicle, the Axiom will be manufactured at SIA in Lafayette, Ind. Average annual production is estimated at 30,000 units.
All Axiom models are equipped with Isuzu's 3.5 liter DOHC V-6 engine tuned to produce 230 hp, an increase of 7% compared to other V-6s in the Isuzu lineup. Standard equipment includes a multi-information display, featuring climate control, stereo and satellite links for the compass and digital clock. Seventeen-inch tires, electronically controlled adjustable shock absorbers, Isuzu's unique TOD traction system and a host of other innovations and value-added features complete the package.
