American Advertising Federation: Lincoln Mercury Joins American Advertising Federation as Corporate Member
WASHINGTON, DC--Jan. 3, 2001--Lincoln Mercury has joined the American Advertising Federation (AAF) as part of that company's efforts to strengthen its presence in the advertising industry.Lincoln Mercury has made it a priority to take greater part in advertising industry initiatives, especially in the area of multicultural marketing. "Our reason for joining is simple-we want as much information on the industry as possible, and AAF delivers on that front. AAF provides the forum for dialogue on the latest industry happenings," said Deborah Wahl, marketing and communications manager, Lincoln Mercury.
Membership in the AAF and its many activities will offer a wide variety of opportunities to stay abreast of industry news and outreach opportunities, including AAF's Most Promising Minority Students Program and the upcoming ADDY(R) Awards. "Lincoln Mercury brings a history of innovative and diverse advertising with its membership," said AAF President and CEO Wally Snyder. "Its participation in AAF will add a rich corporate understanding of brand identity and its contributions to the success of an automotive industry giant."
Lincoln Mercury, based in Irvine, Calif., markets the full line of Lincoln and Mercury vehicles. The Lincoln line includes Town Car, Continental, LS and Navigator. The all-new Lincoln Blackwood will arrive in dealerships in spring 2001. The Mercury product line includes Cougar, Sable, Grand Marquis, Mountaineer and Villager.
The AAF is the advertising trade association that represents the ad industry in its entirety. AAF's 130 corporate members are advertisers, agencies and media companies that comprise the nation's leading brands and corporations. AAF's national network of 210 ad clubs and local ad federations are home to 50,000 advertising professionals. In addition, AAF connects industry with an academic base through its 260 college chapters.
