Unitrin Direct Auto Insurance is Now Available in Pennsylvania

    CHICAGO, Jan. 2 Opening with a direct-to-consumer
advertising campaign, Unitrin Direct Auto Insurance has decided to enter the
Pennsylvania auto insurance market.  "We chose to offer our insurance in
Pennsylvania because it's a very attractive market, and we felt that we could
provide Pennsylvania drivers with an excellent value in auto insurance," said
Larry Sundram, President of Unitrin Direct.
    The company has started a series of advertisements throughout the state.
Unitrin Direct sells auto insurance directly to consumers through its call
center and web site (http://www.unitrindirect.com).  According to Sundram, "With

    Unitrin Direct also offers a new concept in auto insurance sales, that of
