Parking Garage Reservations Becoming Popular At Oakland International Airport

OAKLAND, Calif.--Dec. 27, 2000--More than 2,000 persons have signed up for the "Free-quent" Parkers Club at Ampco Express, the only parking facility that takes reservations at Oakland International Airport.
Ampco Express, located next to Oakland International Airport on 880 Doolittle Drive, has been accepting reservations for indoor, covered parking since it opened last spring.
Reservations have been particularly popular over the recent Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, among the busiest travel times of the year, according to John Hibbs, general manager. "We expect to have a good crowd over New Year's, although it probably won't be quite as busy," he added.
In addition to offering all indoor parking with valet service in its 190,000-square-foot garage, Ampco offers car washing and detailing, oil changes, and dry cleaning services for its customers. Anyone may make a reservation, although members of the "Free-quent" Parkers Club are guaranteed a space and also earn points toward free auto services and parking. Membership is free.
Ampco also takes reservations for parking by e-mail at oakland@ampcoexpress.com or by telephone at 800/820-8626.
Ampco Express is located next to the airport, approximately 300 yards north of the intersection of Doolittle and Davis Street. Additional information is available at www.ampcoexpress.com/locations/oak.htm.
