Lexus Launches All-New Web Site; The Ultimate Lexus Resource

    TORRANCE, Calif., Dec. 21 In its "Passionate Pursuit Of
Perfection," Lexus announces the launch of its completely redesigned Lexus.com
Web site.  The all-new site -- which went live Dec. 15 at 12:01 a.m. PST --
offers a vast menu of online resources including up-to-date product
information, a configurator called "Build Your Lexus," competitive
comparisons, financing options, comprehensive safety information, Certified
Pre-Owned Vehicle information and a dealer locator.
    The new Lexus.com provides easier navigation and additional functionality,
including payment calculators, trade-in information and the ability to save
and retrieve information such as configured vehicles, comparisons, preferred
dealers and pre-owned search criteria.  Also new to the site is a section
titled "About Lexus," which provides information on breaking news, sponsored
events, corporate information, Lexus history and international links.
    Site visitors also have the opportunity to work directly with a Lexus
dealer online.  Each Lexus dealer has a Web site and is dedicated to working
with customers online and responding to online requests.
    "Our goal was to create a better performing site that provides relevant
information and critical functions that our users want," says Robin Pisz,
national interactive marketing manager at Lexus.  "The new site had to be easy
and helpful for the novice user, as well as for the more techno-savvy consumer
who does a lot of online research prior to purchase and often knows as much as
the sales associate by the time they get to a dealership."
    "We also know that customers and owners simply want to see more photos of
the cars," said Paul Ratzky, director of interactive at Team One Advertising
of El Segundo, Calif. who, along with Proxicom of Reston, Va., developed the
site with Lexus.  "So we've added a lot more photography and continue to offer
360 degrees interior and exterior QuickTime viewing of each model."

    Key New Features:

    --  Lease/Purchase Calculator
        Allows users to instantly determine the potential terms of a Lexus
        loan or purchase, and which best suits their needs.

    --  Save-and-Retrieve Capabilities
        Allows users to conveniently save work such as configured vehicles in
        "Build Your Lexus", dealer locations and Certified Pre-Owned search
        criteria.  Information can then be retrieved either from "My Lexus" or
        "Owners" sections of the site.

    --  Owners
        Enables Lexus owners to access their personal vehicle information and
        Lexus financial service account.  Owners can sign up to receive
        service reminders, specify communication preferences and learn more
        about Lexus events and latest news.
    --  Trade-In Information
        Provides users with the trade-in value of their current vehicle by
        entering information on the car's make, mileage and condition.

        Provides information on breaking news, sponsored events, corporate
        information, Lexus history and international links.
