Aftermarket Technology Corp. Announces Appointment of Larry Baker
    WESTMONT, Ill., Dec. 20 Aftermarket Technology Corp.
today announced the appointment of Larry Baker as Vice
President, Automotive Sales and Marketing, effective January 8, 2001.  Larry
joins ATC with over 35 years of sales, marketing and operational management
experience within the DaimlerChrysler Corporation.  Since 1994, Larry has
served first as General Manager and later Vice President of the Mopar Parts
division of Chrysler, having full responsibility for the global sales,
marketing and distribution of Mopar parts.  During his tenured career, Larry
served in various regional, district and zone sales management positions.
    In commenting on Larry's appointment, Mike DuBose, Chairman, President and
CEO said, "I am very pleased that Larry, who is extremely well-respected
within automotive circles, has agreed to join the ATC team.  Larry brings a
wealth of experience to this newly created Detroit-based position in which he
will be responsible for leading the Company's automotive-related sales and
marketing efforts.  Larry will report directly to me and will be involved in
the development of our sales and marketing strategy, customer relationship
building and the pursuit of new business growth opportunities.  He will assume
a hands-on role in working with each of our remanufacturing businesses to
ensure that we are successfully addressing customer service and sales issues.
A person of Larry's caliber adds seasoned senior level talent and business
acumen to focus exclusively on our significant OE segment," DuBose concluded.
    ATC is headquartered in Westmont, Illinois.  The Company's continuing
operations include drive train remanufacturing, value added logistics and
reverse logistics services. ATC also remanufactures electronic control
modules, instrument and display clusters and radios.  ATC posted 1999 revenues
from continuing operations of $328 million.
