Goodyear Names Nathaniel Leonard to Lead Global E-CommerceAKRON, Ohio, Dec. 19 The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company has named Nathaniel E. Leonard as its global director of e-commerce. He will report to Eric A. Berg, chief information officer and vice president of e- commerce. Leonard, 36, will lead Goodyear's efforts to develop and implement global e-commerce strategies as well as initiatives tailored for each of the company's strategic business units. "We are fortunate to have an executive of Nat's proven leadership ability act as the focal point for Goodyear's e-commerce initiatives," Berg said in making the announcement. "He has the powerful combination of a solid business background, a proven track record of success and hands-on experience leading a dot com." Leonard joins Goodyear from Weldersmall.com LLC, where he was the company's president and responsible for the introduction and expansion of the first national welding industry website. Prior to that, he was a business unit manager with Progressive Corp., vice president of sales and marketing at Bowthorpe PLC, director of marketing for Tremco Inc. and a special projects analyst for the Perrier Group of America. A resident of Hudson, Ohio, Leonard earned a Master of Business Administration degree in 1991 from Harvard University in Cambridge, Mass., and a Bachelor of Arts degree in computer studies and economics in 1986 from Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill.
