eGovNet Launches Online Vehicle Registration Renewal and Building Permit Applications On Honolulu Web Portal; Company Now Provides Online Vehicle Registration Renewals for Ohio and Honolulu

COLUMBUS, Ohio--Dec. 19, 2000--eGovNet, the Columbus, Ohio-based premier provider of online solutions for government and citizens (www.egovnet.com), announced today that together with the City and County of Honolulu (www.co.honolulu.hi.us) it has launched its second online vehicle registration renewal application and an online building permit request application.
Honolulu's online building permit request application is one of the first of its kind and provides Honolulu citizens and businesses a real alternative to visiting a government office in order to apply for building permits. eGovNet developed both of these applications as part of its overall development of a citizen/customer-centric Internet presence for the City and County of Honolulu.
eGovNet has also developed the State of Ohio's online vehicle renewal site (www.oplates.com).
The online vehicle registration and building permit applications are available to citizens and businesses on a twenty-four-hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week (24x7) basis, and fee payments can be made with credit or debit cards. In addition, eGovNet's online vehicle registration renewal application will soon be available via telephone (using interactive voice response -- IVR -- technology).
"I would like to commend Honolulu Mayor Jeremy Harris and all of the City and County of Honolulu for their e-government vision. Our online vehicle renewal and building permit solutions are helping Honolulu become a real e-government leader," stated Tim Bartlett, President and CEO of eGovNet.
