Visteon Corporation Wins Mach(R) Satellite Digital Radio Contract With Ford Motor CompanyVisteon's MACH(R) Satellite Digital Radio To Receive Sirius Satellite Radio Broadcasts DEARBORN, Mich., Dec. 19 Visteon Corporation today announced that it has secured a contract to develop and supply its MACH(R) Satellite Digital Audio Radio System for an undisclosed future Ford Motor Company vehicle. "This business underscores our long-standing and strong relationship with the automaker, as well as our expertise with automotive audio applications," said John Slosar, director of Visteon's North American and Asian Strategic Business Unit within the corporation's Telematics/Multimedia business system. To bring this technology to the vehicle, Visteon has established a strategic partnership with Sirius Satellite Radio to provide motorists with the ability to receive satellite radio broadcasts, including up to 100 channels of digital-quality radio coast-to-coast throughout the continental United States. Sirius will broadcast from its three orbiting satellites to Visteon's MACH(R) Satellite Digital Audio Radio System 50 channels of commercial-free music in virtually every genre, and up to 50 channels of news, sports, talk, comedy and children's programming.
