Kenworth Offers Inventory Reduction Deals

NEWS RELEASE

Kenworth Offers Inventory Reduction Deals with Special Finance Incentives

KIRKLAND, Wash., Dec. 19, 2000 - Kenworth Truck Company and PACCAR Financial
Corp. are offering Inventory Reduction deals under two new finance programs
to help truck buyers overcome rising operating costs and depressed used
truck values.

The "Three-Point Play" Program offers retail buyers three attractive
financing options when they purchase a new model year 1999 or 2000 Kenworth
truck and finance it with PACCAR Financial.

The first option features a low introductory rate of 7.9% for the first 24
months of the loan, and then converts to 9.9% for the remaining 36 months of
the term.

The second option under "Three Point Play" provides the buyer with $200 off
their first 12 monthly loan payments. The truck buyer simply strikes their
best finance deal with their Kenworth dealer, then Kenworth and PACCAR
Financial will pay the first $200 on each of the loan payments for a year.

And finally, the third option is to assist buyers who may be "upside down"
in their trade-in on an eligible new Kenworth truck. PACCAR Financial will
help by making over-allowance financing available for credit worthy buyers.

The "Three-Point Play" Program options are available with the purchase of
any new 1999 or 2000 Kenworth Class 8 truck in Kenworth dealer inventory now
through March 1, 2001, and financed with PACCAR Financial. The program is
currently available only in the United States.

The second finance program highlights the benefits of utilizing leasing in
the fourth quarter of the year. The "4th and Goal" Lease Program is
available through December 31, 2000 (U.S. program only). It provides truck
buyers with the low payments associated with leases executed in the fourth
quarter.

As an added benefit, lease any new model year 1999 or 2000 Kenworth truck
under the "4th and Goal" Program and receive $200 off the first 12 monthly
payments. Or, lease any new model year 2001 Kenworth truck under the "4th &
Goal" Program and take $500 off any one of the monthly lease payments.

For more information on either of these special financing programs, please
contact your local Kenworth dealer.
