Budget Group, Inc. Donates Proceeds of Historic Truck Sale to American Red Cross
   Ballot-Carrying Ryder TRS Truck Sells for $67,100 on Yahoo! (R) Auctions

    FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla., Dec. 19 Budget Group, Inc.
today presented the American Red Cross with a check in the amount
of $67,100.00.  The donation equals the proceeds of the sale of the celebrated
Ryder TRS truck that transported presidential election ballots from Palm Beach
to Tallahassee.  The 1999 Ford F350 truck was auctioned on Yahoo!(R) Auctions,
a leading Internet auction service.
    "Budget Group is thrilled to provide this check to an organization as
worthy as the American Red Cross.  This Ryder TRS truck played an important
role in the election process in Florida, and now it benefits an important
charity," stated Sandy Miller, chairman and chief executive officer of Budget
Group, Inc.
    The truck was rented to the Palm Beach County Board of Elections for the
ballot transport at the cost of one cent.  Thousands of images of the truck
and its journey were broadcast on television stations around the nation and
the world.  The truck's buyer wishes to remain anonymous.
