General Motors Names Coactivity.com Interactive Promotion Agency for Chevrolet's North Central Region

Benfield announced today that CoActivity.com, the Company's Cincinnati based interactive division, is the new interactive promotion agency for General Motors' Chevrolet Division's North Central nine state region pursuant to a contract which is anticipated to generate revenues in excess of $1 million.CoActivity.com President, Mike Hallaron, went on to say: "Over the next 12 months, in addition to two websites already developed, CoActivity.com will be the Web strategist designing and developing 25 to 30 websites for Chevrolet Division's regional sports marketing outreach. The sites can be found at www.chevyfans.net with the first site highlighting the `Chevrolet Shooting Star Sweepstakes' for the University of Cincinnati Bearcats, allowing contestants to compete to win a Chevy Impala by shooting three-point baskets at Bearcat games. The second site features a sweepstakes for an all expense paid trip to Park City Mountain Utah ski resort, venue for the 2002 Winter Olympics. Future sites, among others, will focus on promotions involving the Michigan State University Spartans, the Cincinnati Reds, the Chicago Cubs, the Detroit Tigers, the Green Bay Packers, the Indianapolis Colts and the Brickyard 400.
"Charged with creating the Web component for the brand's offline promotions, CoActivity.com will develop truly sticky content that will draw the customer back to the site over and over again, a very cost effective way of making the most of the promotional budget.
"In addition to serving as the sports promotion portal for the Chevrolet brand, the sites will function as tool for creating a pre-qualified database for brand related direct marketing. An onsite registration function will allow Chevrolet dealers to cull customer information directly from the site.
