UGN, Inc. Appoints Renner Director of Research and Development
    CHICAGO, Dec. 18 Dr. Terrence Renner has joined automotive
acoustics and interior trim supplier UGN, Inc. as director of research and
development, according to UGN president and CEO, Gary Jamison.  In this
capacity, he will coordinate research, testing and the implementation of new
technologies, reporting directly to Jamison from the supplier's Chicago
headquarters.  Additionally, Renner will serve as a key manager by developing
and leading top-performing technical teams and identifying new business
opportunities.
    "With more than 15 years in R&D management, Terry brings valuable
experience to UGN," said Jamison.  "We're confident his extensive background
will pave the way for future product innovations and continue UGN's history of
developing leading-edge technologies."
    Prior to joining UGN, Renner held several management positions with BP
Amoco Corporation including R&D project manager, R&D and marketing support
program manager, associate director and external technology coordinator.  Most
recently, Renner served as business development manager at Amoco, responsible
for creating new and expanding existing business relationships with alliance
partners.
    Renner earned a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Chicago's DePaul
University, as well as a doctor of philosophy in physical chemistry from Yale
University.
