DaimlerChrysler Corporation Announces Production Schedule For the Week of January 2, 2001
    AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Dec. 15 DaimlerChrysler Corporation
will operate eight of its 12 U.S. and Canadian assembly plants the week of
January 2, 2001.
    In order to balance vehicle inventory the company will not operate the
following facilities the week of January 2, 2001:

    *  Bramalea (Brampton, Ontario), which produces the Chrysler Concorde,
300M, LHS and Dodge Intrepid;
    *  Jefferson North (Detroit), which produces the Jeep Grand Cherokee;
    *  Dodge City, Warren Truck (Warren, MI), which produces the Dodge Ram and
Dakota;
    *  Toledo (Ohio), which produces the Jeep Wrangler.

    DaimlerChrysler Corporation sets its production schedule on a weekly
basis.
