SUNRISE, Fla.--Dec. 15, 2000--WildCard Systems, the leader in delivering high-quality e-payment solutions today announced that its ClaimCard(TM) division has partnered with Amica Mutual Insurance Company to offer stored value Visa(TM) cards to Amica policyholders. The stored value solution will enable Amica to provide its customers easy and rapid access to claim benefits via stored value Visa cards, which are a more secure and faster payment alternative than checks for customers receiving emergency relief claims.
Building on its reputation as an industry leader in customer service, Amica has again set itself apart by turning to WildCard's expertise in stored value card solutions for this innovative product. Exclusively available from WildCard's ClaimCard division, this technology was developed specifically for the insurance industry. WildCard provides a complete, host-based stored value solution to Amica and other customers including Carlson Marketing Group, AAA, and Visa U.S.A.
The ClaimCard will be distributed by Amica when an adjuster arrives to meet a claimant -- giving claimants instant access to insurance dollars in the field without waiting for banks to open or checks to clear. This offers policyholders immediate access to important claim dollars at a time when they are needed most. ClaimCards can be used to access cash at ATMs, pay for temporary housing expenses, begin the rebuilding process by serving as the payment mechanism for contractors, and pay for other covered losses in such a way that the claimant is not forced to go "out of pocket" for expenses.
