Ford Says UK to Join Euro, just-auto.com Reports

    LONDON, Dec. 15 http://www.just-auto.com -- Ford will
invest in Britain on the basis that the UK will join the Euro within
five years time, Nick Scheele, chairman of Ford Europe was quoted as saying
today.
    In the news at http://just-auto.com/news_detail.asp?art=21016 Scheele
says, "We have a fundamental belief that the UK will enter the euro and that
currency is not a long-term strategic issue."
    David Leggett, Managing Editor of just-auto.com asks, "What are the
assumptions built in here for Blair and Hague?  This is political dynamite!"
