Lexus to Have Three Worldwide Debuts at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit
TORRANCE, Calif., Dec. 14 After launching two new products
in 2000, Lexus will continue that trend for 2001 with three worldwide
production debuts at January's North American International Auto Show in
Detroit.
The production model of the all-new 2002 SC 430 hardtop convertible, which
goes on sale in March, will be shown. SC 430 pricing will be revealed as
well.
The luxury manufacturer also will debut two variations of its popular
IS 300 compact sport sedan, including a five-speed manual transmission model
and an all-new SportCross model. The 2002 IS 300 SportCross has the same
sporty performance as the sedan, and features an exciting design with a fifth
door for increased versatility and utility.
All announcements will be made at Lexus' press conference on Tuesday,
Jan. 9, 2001, at 2:30 p.m. in the Lexus display. On Monday, Jan. 8 and
Tuesday, Jan. 9, media members also are invited to stop by the Lexus space to
visit the Lexus Luxury Lounge for refreshments and relaxing neck and shoulder
massages from professional massage therapists.
