Automotive News Says GM Will Restructure Oldsmobile
DETROIT, Dec. 11 General Motors plans to announce a
"restructuring of Oldsmobile" on Tuesday morning, according to the trade paper

In a special report on its Web site, autonews.com , the paper quoted a GM
source who said the announcement would be made in a satellite broadcast to all
GM dealers.
A memo sent today to the dealers said GM Chairman Jack Smith and Bill
Lovejoy, GM's group vice president of North America vehicle sales, service and
marketing, will speak to dealers in the broadcast.
Oldsmobile sales have dropped 18.5 percent through 11 months of this year.
