Rockwell Automation Delivers Solutions Online to Johnson Controls; Configured Supply Agreement Signed for Automation Products, Support Via RockwellAutomation.com

    MILWAUKEE--Dec. 11, 2000--Rockwell Automation, a business unit of Rockwell , today announced that Johnson Controls, Inc. has chosen RockwellAutomation.com Configured Supply Program as part of an e-business strategy to streamline its supply chain. The agreement includes the delivery of automation products, services and support to Johnson Controls' operations throughout North America.
    Through the Configured Supply agreement, Rockwell Automation will provide Johnson Controls with global pricing and a single point of contact, via RockwellAutomation.com, to more than 230 locations in North America. Johnson Controls and Rockwell Automation worked together to configure a program that integrates business processes with Johnson Controls' new internal electronic procurement system, eCounterline(TM). Rockwell Automation and Johnson Controls also teamed up to conduct on-site training for more than 500 Johnson Controls employees to help maximize the use of program.
