    HONG KONG, Dec. 11 The Board of China Tire e-commerce.com
Limited ("China Tire" or the "Company") announced that Mr. Richard
Whittall ("Mr. Whittall") and Mr. Terence Hui ("Mr. Hui") were appointed as
independent directors of the Company with effect from 8th December, 2000.
    Mr. Whittall is senior Vice President of BayStreetDirect Inc., a leading
Canadian Internet financial services company and member of the Investment
Dealers Association of Canada.  Prior to joining BayStreetDirect, he spent the
past fifteen years actively providing domestic and international companies
with advisory services in the areas of capital fund raising, mergers,
acquisitions and strategic business alliances.  Mr. Whittall currently serves
as a director of a number of companies.
    Mr. Hui is the Chairman of the Vancouver-based, MultiActive group of
companies, including MultiActive Software Inc., a Toronto Stock Exchange
listed company and a member of Internet companies.  He is also the President
and CEO of Concord Pacific Group Inc., a Toronto Stock Exchange listed company
and a member of board of directors of Husky Oil Limited.  Mr. Hui serves on
the Advisory Council to the UBC Faculty of Commerce and Business
Administration and is a member of the B.C. Business Council Board of
Governors.
    The board further announced that Mr. Tang Wei, Donald ("Mr. Tang")
resigned as an independent director of the Company with effect from 8th
December, 2000.
    The board would like to take this opportunity to welcome Mr. Whittall and
Mr. Hui to the board and extends its appreciation to Mr. Tang for his past
contribution to the Company.
