ABRA Expands Bloomington, MN Facility

MINNEAPOLIS--Dec. 11, 2000--ABRA Auto Body & Glass, a Minneapolis-based damaged vehicle repair company, announced today the expansion of its East Bloomington, MN facility. This facility, which replaces the Richfield, MN ABRA facility, is located at 904 West 79th Street.
According to Tim Adelmann, ABRA's Chief Operating Officer, this redistribution of space will still preserve ABRA's much-needed presence in the busy I-494 corridor. "When we found out that we would need to close our Richfield facility due to the city's land acquisition, we concentrated on the most important issue to us: how to continue to conveniently serve our insurance partners and customers within the geographic area. When the opportunity presented itself for us to significantly expand our East Bloomington location, which is only several miles from our Richfield shop, we decided this was the optimum solution."
The enlarged facility is comprised of 22,750 square feet, utilizes fully computerized, state-of-the-art equipment, and employs three estimators, eight body technicians, two paint technicians, two parts managers, and four detailers and preppers.
"While it's unfortunate that we needed to close a very successful operation, we believe that our decision to enlarge our East Bloomington facility will enhance the service we are able to offer our customers," Adelmann continued. "We have doubled our production capacity, increased our detailing area, and arranged for Enterprise to have an on-site rental car operation. Our customers will benefit from this increased volume capacity along with our state-of-the-art technology and continued excellence in customer service."
