Markethaus Inc. Names Former Ford Executive as Board of Directors Chairman
SEATTLE--Dec. 11, 2000--Markethaus Inc. (www.markethaus.net), a provider of Internet-based hosted applications services for the automotive industry, announced it has appointed John Kasmarick as chairman of the board of directors.
Kasmarick brings more than 30 years of experience in the automotive industry and management to the four-member board.
"John Kasmarick's strong management skills, impressive tenure with Ford Motor Company and previous experience as a board chairman are significant assets to Markethaus," said Glenn Northrop, president and chief executive officer of Markethaus. "His knowledge of the automotive industry and leadership experience are essential qualifications in leading our company's board."
As an automotive industry veteran, Kasmarick most recently was director of the customer service division in the Asia/Pacific and New Markets at Ford. Prior to that, Kasmarick served as Ford's technical service operations manager, director of operations planning for product development, director of customer service for Ford Europe and manager of truck parts sales and service. He also served as chairman for a joint venture between Ford and B-quik, an automotive service company in Thailand. Kasmarick is a graduate of Michigan Technological University.
